Terbinafine hydrochloride 10% w/w. Lamisil-SR works by inhibiting an enzyme (fungal synthesis) that converts ergosterol into estrogen. It also decreases the activity of the anti-proliferative and antiproliferative effects of fibroblast-derived hormones. This action is thought to result in the elimination of some fungal cells (the fungal cell line), and the reduction of other cells (the normal cell line) from the fungal cell line.
